Slazenger

Ralph and Albert Slazenger began their story when they officially founded Slazenger in 1881. Being known for its connection to the sporting world, it made it’s first breakthrough when Slazenger tennis balls were requested by champion tennis players to be used at Wimbledon. This request made it the official supplier of tennis balls to Wimbledon in the year 1902. This is now recognised as the longest unbroken sponsorship in sporting history! Tennis players then began using Slazenger racquets and its expansion into other sports, saw the Slazenger footballs being used as the official football for the World Cup in 1966. This was coupled with it’s quality sports equipment being used by the biggest names in cricket and tennis. Slazenger also manufactures clothing for cricket, hockey, tennis, rounders as well as swimming.

As Slazenger continues to produce premium quality sports equipment and sports clothing, they licensed their watch making in 2007 to Turkish partners AWC, a member of Arikan Group. Durable, sporty and playful are only a few words to exemplify the Slazenger watch collections as they are intended for contemporary everyday wear. Their allegiance to tennis, hockey, cricket and golf is seen in their watches as they feature robust, trendy, sporty designs coupled with multifunctional movements.

Slazenger continues it’s commitment to invest across wide spread sports and leisure activities, and it’s watch collections remain testament to it’s connection with sports fans at every level!
